Marungo

"Marungo" is a poetic story that takes place among the valleys and mountains of serra da Bocaina, located in the middle of the country's main economic axis, but which still preserves the tropeiro way of life, its customs and its beautiful natural landscapes. Hayla, a young girl who loves writing poetry, discovers a mysterious ribbon that connects her with local ancestral traditions. With the help of her grandfather, Mr. Ditinho, she learns about the Folia de Reis festival and the story of three enchanted clowns called Marungos. They descend from the heavens to guide a magical, illuminated procession along the region's dirt roads, bringing life and joy to the landscape with dances, music and vibrant colors.
