In the 1990s, American filmmaker Rick Ray documented the daily life of the Cuban people. Decades later, Cuban filmmaker Eliecer Jiménez Almeida, living in exile in Miami, acquired this footage, restored the material, and repatriated it to narrate his own memories of the Special Period.
