In GYE, a diverse group of artists gathers periodically to carry out a massive sticker pasting action in specific locations of the city. This movement aims to transform everyday spaces into creative canvases. The involved artists use meticulously designed stickers to add a vibrant and visually appealing touch to the chosen places. However, in Ecuador, especially in Guayaquil, there is a lack of support or recognition for this movement, primarily due to various reasons such as little interest in art and lack of knowledge about the movement or its artists. That's why we decided to hit the streets and document this art and, of course, the people behind it. We visited the places where sticker pasting or posters are most prominent and gathered testimonies from some of the artists leading the Paste Up Guayaquil movement. We want to raise awareness about this great initiative and garner support not only from the public but also from authorities. This way, we can achieve greater recognition and encourage art in our society. We also aim to demonstrate that art is not only found in museums but also in those corners waiting to be discovered and admired.
