ANTHROPOCENE

Aboard a spaceship, the alien Quark carries out his experiments in the laboratory specialized in the creation of planets. On a work table, there is a silver sphere that serves as a canvas for the gestation of a new world. With meticulousness, Quark pours water, earth, plant and animal DNA on the sphere, starting the terraforming process. Motivated by tiredness, he decides to take a break. However, a fortuitous event happens: the container that holds human DNA accidentally spills onto the planet. When the alarm goes off, Quark rushes to the laboratory, finding the planet on fire. He quickly grabs a fire extinguisher and proceeds to put out the fire, not before observing the damage that has been caused. Upon closer inspection, he discovers the cause of the fire: the addition of human DNA. “The short film aims to generate a deep reflection on the responsibility that humanity has in caring for the planet, the impact of global warming, and the urgent need to modify the way we interact with the Earth.”
