Through a powerful narrative, "My Hungry Hand" exposes the darker side of fast fashion, highlighting the environmental and social costs of this rampant consumerism. The film references the alarming example of the textile mountain in Chile, a staggering accumulation of discarded clothing that serves as a stark reminder of the industry's waste. This film urges viewers to rethink their fast fashion habits and embrace sustainability and environmental awareness. By promoting mindful consumption and responsible fashion practices, "My Hungry Hand" aims to inspire positive change. Notably, this film was created within an impressive 40-hour timeframe, with the entire production, from shooting to editing, completed on a mobile phone. Filmed exclusively on the University campus and surrounding areas, "My Hungry Hand" is a testament to the creativity and resourcefulness of its student filmmakers.
