Chase, a so-called Sneaker-head who likes to show off her shoes. She tries to obtain the rare shoes her dead father once wore by stealing money from her mother and breaking her trust. Her mother takes the shoe from her and Chase decides to look for Chase in her room and realizes the only money in her room is the shoes in her room. As she grieves her father's death, She realizes she must rebuild her mother's faith by putting herself in an uncomfortable position where she has to sell her own meaningful shoes to get what she wants. This story hits close to home because it is based on a teenager going through unique interactions that can only be found here in NYC.
