Selected Film
In 1987, when Ana was seven years old, her father was brutally murdered in Colombia and the culprits were never found. Determined to confront her past, she embarks on a physical and emotional search that leads her to a sugarcane field, the place where he was killed. Within this hostile sugarcane field, she relives painful memories and finds an abandoned nest, a metaphor for the broken families affected by the armed conflict. She repairs it by weaving it in a healing ritual. Finally, she is able to close a painful chapter to move forward. "Red on Red" is an emotional and symbolic journey that invites reflection on memory, pain, and resilience.
