Generating a future where there is none? That´s what a Kolla woman asked herself in 1994, when the mines closed and the people of the northern Argentina were left without work and migrated to the South. Rosario Quispe created an organization of weaving women: Warmi Sayasungo or “persistent woman”, building a financial system based on confidence that supports more than 6000 families from 80 native communities. In 2005 she was nominated to the Nobel Peace Prize.
